University of North Dakota, BA (2000) with a double major of English and Honors.
University of South Dakota, MA (2002) with an emphasis on writing and Modern American Literature.
I have been teaching English and Speech courses for over a decade at NCTC, and I have enjoyed all of those years. My favorite classes to teach are any of the Literature classes, especially Literature and Film, although I enjoy all of the classes that I teach each year. The aspect of my job that I would have to say that I enjoy the most would be the students. I look forward to meeting and getting to know a new crew of students each semester. Along with my duties as an instructor, I also teach online courses, serve on numerous committees, mentor for our College in the High School Program, serve as a Pioneer Guide, along with serving as advisor for student groups.
Here is a list of classes that I teach: Reading and Writing III, Comp. I, Comp. II, Creative Writing, Introduction to Literature, Literature and Film, British Literature I & II, Women's Literature, and Introduction to Public Speaking.
