Career/Technical Program Graduates

Ceremonies will last approximately 1 ˝ hours. A short reception honoring the graduates will be held immediately following the ceremony on the south lawn of the Chester Fritz.
Commencement Assembly Process
- Graduate candidates must arrive by 10:00 AM at the Chester Fritz Auditorium - lower level to allow for the assembly process.
- Graduate candidates wishing to have a photo taken (optional) must arrive by 9:30 AM. Tweeten's Photography will be set up in the assembly area to take professional photos. Photos will also be taken as you cross the stage to receive your diploma.
- Locate your major/program sign and line up in alphabetical order, by last name, in front of the program sign. Signs will be posted on the wall.
- Please pick up your name card when you line up. You will hand the name card to the announcer when you approach the stage.
- Ushers will lead you from the assembly area into the auditorium. You will be ushered to your seats. Please remain standing until asked to be seated.
Graduation Items
The following items are available in the college bookstore from April 1 - May 13, 2010.
- Black cap and gowns MUST be worn by all graduates during the ceremony. The cap, gown, & tassel unit will be available for purchase. NCTC school colors are navy blue and scarlet red.
- Practical Nursing graduates only: an additional photo will be taken when you are pinned as you cross the stage. Practical Nursing Pins will be available for purchase.
Honor Students
Honor students are to pick up their honor stole or honor cord in teh Registrar's Office (Room 111) April 1 - May 13. Review your academic transcript to determine eligibility. The DARS report is not an academic transcript. Honor calculations are based on the cumulative GPA of the student academic transcript following fall semester 2008. Spring semester grades are not available for calculation prior to commencement. Final academic honors will be posted to final transcripts.
- Highest Honors: cumulative GPA 3.75 - 4.0 (Gold Stole)
- Academic Excellence: cumulative GPA 3.50 - 3.74 (Honor Cord)
Degrees, Diplomas, & Certificates
Degrees, diplomas, and certificates will be mailed approximately 4-8 weeks following commencement or completion of your final grade posting.

Application Deadlines
Any student planning to graduate from their program during the college year 2009-2010 must have an Application to Graduate on file. Applications can be obtained from the Student Services area of either campus or can be downloaded below. All students must apply to graduate even if they do not intend to participate in the commencement ceremony.
- October 15, 2009, for students completing their program fall semester 2009. Students graduating fall semester are invited to participate in spring commencement.
- March 1, 2010, for students completing their program spring semester 2010 or summer 2010.
