Beginner Wire Feed

This course will be customized to meet the client’s specific needs. Typical topics and skills taught in this course include the following: importance of welding in our society, welding safety, basic joints, positions, and welding machine set-up. GMAW (wire) will be the only topic covered; however, PAC (plasma arc cutting) may be introduced if requested by the client. Course will consist of lab exercises consisting of flat and horizontal fillet welds, flat position groove welds, and classroom lecture.

Intermediate Wire Feed

This course will be customized to meet the client’s specific requests. Typical skills taught in this course are the following: all position fillet welds, all position, full penetration groove welds, simple print reading, trouble-shooting of GMAW machines. Course will consist of lab exercises and classroom lecture.

Beginner GTAWw

This course will be customized to meet the client’s specific requests. This introductory course provides skill development in performing the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding in the flat, vertical up, and horizontal positions on mild steel. Aluminum and or stainless steel may be covered at the client’s request. Course will consist of lab exercises and classroom lecture.

Stick Welding

This course will be customized to meet the client’s specific requests. This introductory course provides skill development in performing the Shielded Metal Arc Welding process in all positions and many joint types on mild steel using E6010 and E7018, unless otherwise specified by the client. Course will consist of lab exercises and classroom lecture.

Educational Certifications

Specific requests for individual educational welding certifications can be designed per request.

Course Delivery Options

Courses are designed for companies who would like to train a group of employees at their facility or at the Thief River Falls or East Grand Forks campus. Course will be customized to specifically meet the needs of your business.
