The Northland Community & Technical College Foundation and Pioneer 90.1 FM are pleased to announce that the first Northland on the Boardwalk concert will be held August 29, 2013 in East Grand Forks. Northland welcomes students, alumni, and the community to come together for an evening of FREE activities and entertainment.

Event Details

The event will be held on the Boardwalk in East Grand Forks. Northland on the Boardwalk will start at 6 p.m. with activities for everyone and a beer garden hosted by local establishments. The first musical act, The Soft Light, starts at 7 p.m. and Tim Mahoney will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Northland encourages everyone to bring a blanket or chair but limited seating will be available at the local establishments as well. Special discounts and door prizes will be awarded during the event to Northland students and alumni.

About the Artist

Northland on the Boardwalk will feature Tim Mahoney, from NBC’s hit television show “The Voice”. Mahoney is a Minneapolis based musician whose sound has been likened to a mix of Sam Cooke, Gavin DeGraw, The Fray, and John Mayer according to ReverbNation.com. Additionally, he was featured in Rolling Stones 40th anniversary issue.
