This ultra-modern aviation campus, featuring 86,000 square feet of training area, is located right at the Thief River Falls Regional Airport which features state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Northland College has the ability to train students in all aspects of aviation: commercial, corporate, commuter, general, and helicopters.

Work with a Large Variety of Aircraft

The Aviation Maintenance Technology program concentrates on aircraft airframe and powerplant maintenance to prepare the student to test for certification as a Federal Aviation Administration airframe and powerplant mechanic. Students receive hands-on training in modern, world class training facilities. More than 20 aircraft, including two Boeing 727s, one DC-9, a Sabreliner, twin-engine turbo props, three "Huey" turbine-powered helicopters, as well as Piper, Cessna, and Beechcraft piston-powered light aircraft are used in the student’s training.
