Berdahl named 3rd Team All-American

THIEF RIVER FALLS, MINN. (April 8th, 2011) – The National Junior College Athletic Conference has recognized Jodi Berdahl as 3rd Team All American in Division III Women’s Basketball.

Players are selected based on their statistics and the role they play in their team’s success. Berdahl, was a sophomore guard for the Northland Pioneer Women's basketball team which won the Northern Division this year, Region 13B Champions and also was 5th in the NJCAA National Tournament. Jodi was named MCAC 1st Team All Division, 1st Team All State Basketball Team, and Region 13 Women’s Basketball Team and now being named NJCAA All American third team. This season Berdahl averaged 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season for the Pioneers. Berdahl played her freshman season at Lake Region State College.

Berdahl is a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN. She is the daughter of Brian and Coreen Berdahl of Red Lake Falls, MN. “Jodi works hard on and off the court and we will miss her work ethic next season” says Head Basketball Coach Shannon Nelson. Berdahl is keeping her options open for next year but is planning on attending NDSU.
