Softball Skills Clinics for grades 6-12 planned


The Pioneer softball team at Northland Community and Technical College is planning two “Grip It and Rip It” Fastpitch Skills Clinics for students in grades 6-12, on Saturday, March 21, and Saturday, March 28, at the Thief River Falls campus gym.



Participants of the clinics will join the Northland College coaching staff and players as they increase their knowledge and skills of hitting, pitching and fielding. In addition to hitting and pitching skills, coaches will discuss the importance of conditioning and share some great tips to help players come into the season strong.



The Hitting and Pitching Clinic will be held on Saturday, March 21, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. the cost to participate is $30 for hitting, $30 for pitching, or $50 for both sessions. Pre-registration for the Hitting and Pitching Clinic is due by March 2.



The Hitting and Fielding Clinic will be held on March 28, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $30 for hitting, $30 for fielding, or $50 for both sessions. Pre-registration for the Hitting and Fielding Clinic is due by March 9.



Each participant will receive a pre-season worksheet and T-shirt. Participants are asked to bring gloves and batting gloves and wear comfortable clothes and gym shoes.
