NCTC Softball Sign Nine Student Athletes For 2017-2018 Season.

Northland Community & Technical College Softball has signed nine players to National Junior College Athletic Association Letters of Intent for the 2017-2018 Season.

Players that have signed include Brenna Dallager, P/SS from Strathcona, MN and played for Badger/Greenbush/Middle River; Megan Berberich SS, from Gatzke, MN and played for Red Lake County Central, Kaitlyn Thingelstad, 3B/OF from Crookston, MN; Bailey Nepean, 1B/P from Bagley, MN; Mikenna Housker, P/1B from Roseau, MN; Dana Black 2B/OF, from Woodmore, Manitoba Canada; Teizha Kaluna, 3B/C/P from Kailua Kona, Hawaii; Nasadyria Kendricks, OF/2B/C from Fairbanks, Alaska and Mikailah Salway SS/3B; from Fairbanks, Alaska.

“I am very excited for this recruiting class.”, says Head Softball Coach Paul Peterson. “We are still in the building process since I will be in my 2nd year but we have some good softball players coming in that have a passion for the game.” We still have a few pending athletes for this fall, but we will be much improved and I look for the sophomores to bring in experience and leadership and the freshman to step right in and contribute right away.”

Returners to the team include Adrianna Vasek CF, from Fisher, Minnesota; Emily Anderson SS/P from Middle River, MN; Emily Hesekind 2B, from Newfolden, MN; Megan Swedberg 1B/OF, from Ogema, MN; Jaiden Dahl Util, from Baudette, MN and Lauren Carter C, from Thompson, ND.
