Northland College Athletes Receive MCAC Academic Recognition


The list of students earning the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Academic Awards for fall semester has been released. To qualify athletes must have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or better at the end of the semester in which the majority of the sport season occurs with a minimum of 12 credits.



Northland College athletes receiving Conference Academic Recognition in volleyball include: Sasha Magner, a sophomore from Newfolden and Brittany Wiseth, a freshman from Thief River Falls.



Student athletes receiving Conference Academic Recognition in football include:

Eric Derosier, a freshman from Red Lake Falls; Roberto Gutierrez, a freshman from Crookston; Adam Horachek, a sophomore from Goodridge; Dillon Lundin, a freshman from Claressa, MN;

and Benjamin Thorstad, a freshman from Thief River Falls.



“The Northland Athletic Department congratulates each of these individuals on their academic success. As student-athletes, they have done a great job representing their communities at home and away,” commented Athletic Coordinator Paul Peterson.
