The Northland
Athletic Department welcomes talented
athletes from the local area,
as well as nationally and internationally.
The department’s mission
is to enhance and support the
intellectual mission of the college
and its academic standards and
practices. The Pioneer coaching
staff encourages student athletes
to get involved in the college
and community, and many student
athletes participate in campus
organizations and community service
groups. Pioneer athletes and teams
are also recognized annually for
their outstanding academic achievements.
Northland Community and Technical
College is a leader in promoting
athletics — participating
in numerous state, regional and
national competitions. The Northland
athletic programs have a long
tradition of excellence —
both on and off the playing surface
— and are recognized as
an important part of the college
experience.
