Northland Community & Technical College is currently in the process of creating a new strategic plan. We have chosen an Appreciative Inquiry process for developing our vision and strategic direction for Northland. This is a strength-based approach to building and shaping effective organizations, and it involves asking questions about our past (what has worked well), about our future (what we hope to create together), and then bringing all of that information together into a clear vision that we can all own and build from. Our goal is a simple document, with 3-4 key strategic goals becoming our overarching mantra, which we will talk about, create around, measure, account for, and celebrate. It will show up in our staff meetings, in-services, and performance reviews, as we focus our energy, our passion, and our talents in building an NCTC that will impact not just this region--but the world!
